Close to a foot and still snowing hard in my part of the mid Hudson valley.  A lot of power outages reported in and around the area.  The new Cuomo Bridge (old Tappan Zee) has had a few trucks/tractor trailers blown over.  As long as the power stays on I'll be a happy camper.

Well we got cocky and paid for it. Forecast was for 6 to 8  total so far is 14. It is the some of the heaviest , wettest stuff I have ever dealt with. Couple that with thawing ground and plowing anything off blacktop was a nightmare. Even the blower was digging in and blowing chunks everywhere.

Interesting to learn the TappanZee was renamed, one of my favorite bridges to cross, as long as I was inbound to my home terminal.  I think it may have been the Tap where twin trailers earned their nickname "wiggle wagons".

Thanks for the memories Troutbum.

Probably worst storm of winter
Seen many accidents, lots of property damage today. About 18" wet heavy stuff. I hunkered down after working and deal with the carnage tomorrow. Shoots any type fishing plans out window.
Hope everyone is safe

We only got 4-6 inches around my local, but the 50-60 mph wind gusts toppled many trees and power lines. My power was out for a short time but then returned Today the sun is shining and melting the snow.I'm really looking forward to spring!

We got about 18" yesterday. I didn't mess with things until this morning. It's sloppy, wet and heavy. Melting quickly. Just an hr to my West, cobleskill got dumped hard.

Working on the garden now.
I will let you all know when spring is here. Gonna be mud season for awhile

I got 16-18" here and it is heavy wet sludge.  After 5+ hours of wrestling with the thrower and shovel I called it quits.  One small area left to do but as HT said it is melting fast.

In the area 1/2 hr south ( Woodstock).
Many issues. 46,000 still without power. Possibly days before restored.
Hope everyone is safe, I'm just passing time until the next fishing adventure.

I hope that storm coming Wednesday does not hit you hard Rich. Supposed to stay east of us but who knows. Mist all that fell is on the ground as it only got to lid 30s today. Will start some plants in a few weeks, but would like to get some garlic in asap

Planted garlic last fall and covered. I'm hopeful. Going big on gardening with fruits,
Veggie and herbs this year. Yea I have to try and keep the deer out but got to try. Many trees and annual fruits and vegetables going in for the future. Horseradish, asparagus, rhubarb, berries and trees.
My son is doing chickens, I'd like to set up for pigs next fall.

Hopefully the SR area plays nice on March 16th-19. Wife and I are planning a getaway to the tailwater. She cares less about fishing. I just want to have an opportunity.

The snow shovel all hung in the garage with care in hopes SandHill Cranes would soon be there...... Did I mention I had Robins, Redwing Blackbirds, Bluebirds and even a groundhog frolicing in my backyard yesterday. Oh yeah, weather dude said less than an inch of snow for my area of PennsWoods. What a jokester,
probably the same dude standing in a corner with a lamp shade on his head at the office Christmas party.
