Saw a couple little bucks last Friday that were pretty fired up, but the better bucks seem to still be moving mainly at night.  Everyday from here on out should be getting progressively better.  I have vacation scheduled for the end of this week and early next week, so I'm hoping things are really going by then.

    Good luck to you.

Got done Saturday evening and had to stop at my parents around 7pm.  Walked around the back of the house and there was a decent sized buck chasing 2 does around the back yard.

As Esox said, the little bucks are full blown rut here but the bigger ones are just starting. You should hit it right Esox, get this two day warming spell over and it won't take long to see how many shooters are out there. Shoot straight.

The big boys are still moving at night here in the SW, for the most part. Little bucks are cruising. Got my first picture of a good buck in daylight three days ago.

I am off the 1st-12th so somewhere in there, the switch will be flipped!

same here. not much really happening. bucks are starting to cruise alittle, but not much rut sign. not many rubs. i read a good article on FB about the rutting moon. last year it was on nov 17 which was late and had the rut spotty. this year the moon will be on nov 6 which isnt far off. the rut is about to heat up. should see alot of big bucks killed next week.

Set up my mock scrape Sunday and 51 minutes later this guy shows up along with a 6 pt.
    002.JPG
Climbed in at 6:00 this morning and 20 minutes later had 3 doe under the ladder. Lucky for me the street light gives me some help in the dark. Heard another walking in and sure as sh-t I saw horns. Two doe jumped and moved away 20 feet quickly. He walked up and his ash was 6" from the ladder. To dark to count points. He gives a 5 second grunt and moves along. I wouldn't say chasing , but would call it pushing. My guess would be the 8. no sign of the twin 10's

Nice Wags...... From your photo it's obvious his neck is swollen and he's ready to get it on.

    I got nuttin'..........

Most of the crop fields still standing with corn or beans.

One buck last night; No swelling to the neck and still feeding.

Several doe on the cameras; saw nothing to indicate they might be in estrus.

No rubs or scraps; maybe after the rain today.

    Patience is a virtue.........

I just came in from the shop and saw a buck sniffing around in my yard.
That's not normal here just does in yard even at night only happens when the chase is on.
I'll be out tomorrow afternoon thru Sat as much as possible.
Good luck it's here that special time of year- IMO....WCW

Little late gettin' my two cents in; couldn't quit swaying from the wind and I've been sittin' in my man cave watchin' the game since 8:00 pm. Dang... if this wind is a sign of things to come this winter; the snow belts are gonna be busy.

No action my way (except swaying in the wind). Think I'm gonna sit for a few hours in the morning then give still hunting a try.

I'm just not seeing any sign at all so a hunting I will go.

Popcorn is ready for the microwave so let's see some pictures fellas.

Good luck to all and turn in those 'harvest' reports. Remember the reports are for SCIENCE. ouch! that hurt...............

Raining at my house this morning with 5 to 7 mph N. wind. Woods will be quiet to do some tippy toeing thru the trees. Gonna walk the edge line around the fields looking for the sign. Hope to catch a 'shooter' reworking his territory after the rain. Nothing better (in my book) than taking a whitetail eye-to-eye.

Popcorn is in the microwave; just waitin' on the pictures to, push the start button.

Hunt safely and remember; in the name of science, turn in them kill (sorry) harvest reports.

Good luck to all; may you get one for the wall!

    0 deer spotted this morning.
It was for the birds...saw 2 resident eagles-close to 200 geese-and had a hawk try to land on my xbow,I moved it when he was 10 feet away he landed on branch just above me.Not to mention crows and lil birds.
Doing a lil work then back out...WCW
