If the rain forecast for my little piece of the "Pennsylvania Wilds" holds true for today, I should expect the Salmon to be arriving in my bayou sometime tomorrow morning, if not sooner.  Good grief, I can't remember (maybe old timers) ever cutting the grass twice a week, this time of the year!!   Stupid rain!!

Have not felt a drop from the sky yet today but the air is heavy.
In process of mowing my yard. We don't really call the grass a lawn , I got better names. Friends call it the compound, family accepted that.
Lots of people come and go , some lust never leave, lol.
It's all good but it seems to be expanding, sadly, not area wise . What 2 acres of mowing took before now takes 3 times as long. Lucky this year to knock it down about every 2nd week. Far to wet ..

Hopefully, all this water tables will keep the lakes full , freeze fast and no snow ( the sky is dry ).
Yup, I'm ready for ice . Don't think I can stand in a stream in this humidity for cooked fish.

The recent weather did wonders for the crabgrass which is now growing thick and heavy.

BOY HT..... I hate when that happens. lol

Pafisher I learned many many moon ago, never, never ever, feed the grass. lol

It's  the rain we been getting on a regular bases.  Nothing like the downpours seen in some areas, just those all night soakers that never happened when I had my vegetable garden.  Speaking of which, the heavy downpours forecast in a special hazard statement never materialized today, for my little piece of Penn's Woods.  Watching the weather radar you could see the storms fizzle out, only producing some light rain, as they approached my area.

Really funny living only a few miles from Pulaski and not seeing much of the rain they got. Same with the LE snow too.  It's wet, ponds are full everything is in good shape

No rain yet for me today but the radar says, it's on it's way.  Hoping it will be like yesterday and the storm fizzles out before it get's here.    It's so humid outside right now, I swear, if ya clapped your hands ya'd splash yourself.

When you can see the humidity you know it's thick,it looks like a smog but it's just the heavy moisture in the air.No rain yesterday or today......yet!

45 min deluge over. Lots of floaters including my pigs. Hot and steamy now with thick air. Next one is on its way. I got lots of farm and garden work to do before it hits.

It's within minutes now

Last cloud burst went east and missed me by 1/2 mile. I could see the rain line. This one came from West and right on top. It's raining and rumbling.

More flash flooding, lot's lightning and heavy rain. I'd say another 4" and still coming.
It's 7:30 and completely dark except for the lightning.

It has missed me so far.  Some rumbling to my north up toward Poughkeepsie but nothing in the way of rain.  I just heard of power outages and heavy rain down near the Tappan Zee bridge.

More trees down. They just can't take the loose soil and weight.
Storm just passed, for now. We easily got 5 plus rain

Sure hope all the precip falling ain't a sign of things to come.

Corn tassels turning dark brown and silk will soon be too as the geese gather in large flocks feeding on hoppers and crickets in the fields.

Least not forget the spiders and all those quarts of sauces and salsa now in winter store.

Any guess when the Sumac turns red?

Be safe yuse guys, a gallon of water weighs 8.33 pounds and flash floods produce 1000s of gallons of water in seconds.

Turn around Don't drown.

I gotta git, rains coming......

Got a couple heavy showers last night and it's very humid with more rain forecast for later. It's a good thing that the usual tropical systems are not forming in the Atlantic,if we get one now it would be a disaster for the entire east coast.

Big storm rumbling over us right now. It's gonna get ugly again. Seen lots of trees and debris rushing down the creek this morning , some flooding damage in yards.
This one now could be the one that breaks the camels back.

Anybody care to join me in a feww versus of "Rain, Rain, go TO HELL away"??

Raining like the proverbial cow and flat rock..... AGAIN!!  Started early this morning and is to continue throughout the day.  My official unofficial outside 'dog water dish' rain gauge (75 lb dog) recorded well over an inch and a half of precipitation.

Then to make the cheese more binding, I get the following weather alert, over my 'official weather notification' on my cell phone.  GOOD GRIEF!!!

Ohhhh wellll looks like a good day to stay inside, while remaining alert to the weather, and just enjoy cutting the cheese  to go along with my whine.

Be safe everyone.
