Just got back, I pulled a "Salahi" on the Pin outing and showed up with my flyrod...  Got to fish a section of Elk I've never fished and got skunked.. Maybe if the darn pinners would quit pricking them all with hooks they might take a fly... Got to watch a couple fellas using their rigs. Pretty cool never saw a pin before or knew how they were fished... Seems to be a pretty effective way to present baits to fish.. Swinger, these pinners can't be all bad they took me in and fed me some of the best stream side fare I've ever had. Butterflied deer loin on the grill Chicken chimichongos Steelhead so fresh you could eat it raw...I had the grilled version myself..excellent Smoked ham , smoked steelhead Little nip of homemade wine.. and a warm fire to BS around and have a couple cold ones.. (I even had piece of pinner cake).. Thanks Papinner for a fine outing, thanks for letting us hangout at the camp Paul, food was top notch for you fellas that cooked, thanks... Was nice to finally put a face to some of those screen names and nice to meet you guys... Here's a couple pics... And the age old debate goes on...My rod is longer than your rod.. And a big hello to our new found friend with the net on his back, Driftcutter was his name, I think...  See, told ya..  It was a beautiful day in Penna..  Thanks for the coffee , You saved Harry....   Sorry this is the only fish pic of the day... He just had to make one more drift... Talk about a spot burn he was on the webcam at the campground..  THANKS guys........BING

Bings - thanks for posting the pics and recording everyone's adventure!
The outing was a blast! A+! To everyone there, it's great to have you guys as fishing buds and friends!
To anyone who has yet to attend an outing: they are always a blast and always worth the time and trip.
Food was fantastic! Thanks for the feed and use of the campground! And... THE COFFEE! It saved me!!
Can't wait to do it again!

I had a great time and we had a great turnout. For those of you that didnt attend you missed a great time. The fishing was on fire in the am then seemed to slow right down in the pm. I learned alot fishing with different guys and seeing different ways to present baits. Espescially the ohio guys they really know how to spin that pin. It was good fishing and hanging out with all of you guys, I'm sure we'll being sharing a drift well before next year. I would also like to thank paul for use of his camp and everyone that contributed to this and thanks Bings for the pics at least someone in the group got the camera out . It was a great time!!

Not bad for a first go at it....I enjoyed meeting all of you and look forward to meeting up again. Its always nice to put a face with a screen-name. You're all welcome to come out again and we can certainly use the camp for another outing next year. Boy was I hurtin' this morning! Bob, how did you and Matt make out today? I only fished until about 11 and man did that creek ever come down and clear up in a hurry! Today was low, clear and slow fishing....really had to pick at 'em. Several hook ups but they weren't taking it hard. Hope to see you all again! Only pics I got from yesterday  This mallard drake lets us get just a few feet away....  Blackie with a hog...  Bryan with a nice one...

Hey guys, good to meet all of you at the outing yesterday. Paul invited me to come up, I haven't even posted on this site yet lol... Anyway here are a few more pictures from yesterday... Same hog that paul posted, messured out at 31 1/2 x 20 1/2 weight calculator puts it at 14.7lbs  here is a couple brian caught...

I wish I could have made it. It sure looks like a great time. Please let me know if you schedule another outing as I am sure I can make it (as long as it isn't any weekend between thankgiving and christmas). The weekends this time of year are difficult for me due to family reasons.

Papinner: Thanks for putting this together for everyone. I had a great time fishing with you fellows and I did learn a thing or two that should help me. I still can't cast the thing worth a darn but I was able to cover all the water where I fished one way or the other. I left the spot with the tree over the water about 1:30 and I hooked a couple more there before leaving.
I went up to ricks road and only hooked and landed one more there. There did not seem to be near as many fish up there but there were also few fisherman up high.
Wish I could have stuck around and also attended the get together but I wanted to get headed back as I was up all night before fishing and I knew caffeine would only get me so far back. I'll never remember the names but thanks to everyone involved.

Atleast someone made it to the water before noon,Matt & i did not wet a line till after noon,I was hurtin,hit a few spots mid elk,nothing, went above 5 and found some,had to really work for them,well worth it.tried to get pinner to bring me some cake,but,he wouldn't.thanks to all and I had a blast.The food was definately fit for a 5 star restraunt.The only thing I can't figure out is where all the black spots came from on my hat and jacket?Definately gotta do it again.

I don't believe. Your hand curled with fingers pulled back while you hold it out in front of your leg with arm extended and at a angle adds to the illusion nice. The best part is your girth number.
Considering there are about 12 witnesses to the fish, an blackie is 6'4 an about 250, I'm suprised it didn't have larger stats, fish looks like a 15 pounder to me considering who's holding it...

Let me guess you let the proof swim another day. BTW your head is as big as the girth you claimed. Like the milt as well. The other guy's fish look bigger and he holds them like you.
He's actually a pretty layed back character, goes out of his way to help people out, not really a big head, not like mepps or those type of guys. You'll probably have a hard time saying anything that'll get him into an internet debacle, i've seen people try it usually doesn't happen although back in the early days of TSS him an ASM had a post off about blue eggs or something that went on for a while that was entertaining. I find it funny that your first post was to blast darkness lol you must be A. bored at work or B. layed off an not getting layed...
