even when the walleye fishing got tough, the smallmouth fishing was incredible.  never understood but sure am glad that so many don't know this.  do love that area, up there.

Bings,

Thank you for your efforts, and helping to dispel some misconceptions. You an OK DuUd, SOMETIMES

Kudos also to Mr. Wilon. I've have always found the PF&BC biologists ( and employees in general ) to be very forthcoming, and willing to adress angler concerns.

Just like some of us have know,Pymy is a put in take out lake since the begining of time, just like smart people have know, the spillway doesn't affect the fish population of the lake, simply because they don't spawn in the lake, there's been a problem with stocking the fry for a few years, and now with both Ohio and Pa. putting in equal amounts of fingerlings and additional fry,the lake will turn around, with time. Pymy's a big lake and not every eye in the lake migrates to the spillway.Yes,PFC wants to see people get fish, and they also don't want to loss the spillway revenue, that's why it will never close down,A,is doesn't hurt the lake,B,it provides much needed revenue.

Fished below the dam Sunday and the first cast hooked a 28 incher.
An hour and 3 lures later I quit.
Had to go home and lick my wounds. lol

I have family in Meadville and Conneaut Lake so I am no stranger to the area. The spillway is a good place to catch fish but it sure as hell isn't the best. I've found better from shore and from my boats.
