Back to the state record Rainbow,it was caught in the Jordan Creek after it was stocked for a fishing "contest".A 28" is nice but would have to be really thick to have the weight to compete, the length would have to be around 36" to put it in the money.

I saw 3 or 4 small black caddis flying around my yard this morning.  It is over 1000 yards to the creek, so these guys were really lost.

I was out, but didn't see a bug. I did manage to do this though...

It's ok- they gave me an extra tip a while back. Still ended the last 1/2 hour of daylight on a sour note.

1/08/2008, temperature 68 degrees, midge hatch going off on the clarifier,i wish i had put trout in there. would of been fun to fish while at work.

the early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

I'm going fishing in tomorrow for a while. Probably the Yellow Breeches. After getting skunked on my last couple outings I plan on fishing some easier water. Besides I just tied ip a few Hare's Ear Nymphs & I want to see if they'll work.

I'd come, but I just spent my allowance on a new reel. My wife didn't throw too big of a fit. She may when I get the rod to go with it though.

No. That was a Sage rod. I have no deal with Orvis.

Trying to decide on fishing. 35 with a cold front coming.

I know that it is suppose to be a high of 17 tomorrow (in johnstown). I have never fished the Little J but have 2 biddues that have. Is it big enough to sneak my centerpin setup in there to do some drifts?

I managed a couple small Brown Trout today. I didn't get cold, but I was layered up pretty good.

Started at the little j this morning and Drake caught the only fish there in about 3 hours.  Water was clear but it was flowing hard, too hard for my tastes.  We moved on to a back-up stream and managed a few brownies there.  All in all a pretty tough day on the water.

I see what you're saying- you must read that thing cover to cover! Good name for a guide service if you ask me. I wish I could do that for a living in some ways, but am afraid it may ruin my fishing.  Besides, I don't think I could generate what I make @ the glass plant. Telling my wife she may need to get a job just might get me cut off for a spell.

Here's a link/I looked up his site for those of you that don't know what we're talking about...

haha...I probably shouldn't be commenting on this subject.  No Drakes' fish at the Little J was a brownie.  However, when we made our move to the other location, my first fish there was a sucker.  So, my first fish of the day was a sucker.  The bad part about it is that Drake claimed to have never caught a sucker in that particular stream.

Lies can be hard to remember.    There's a few carp around too.  Wonder if he ever hooked into one of them.  Pucker up Daniel.

There is no stream upon which the mighty sucker guide has not caught a hoover.

I fished with a guy from another forum today on my favorite stream. It didn't get above freezing.
Not skunked today. I caught one on a dry fly. There was a BWO hatch for a little while. I first thought they had to be eating little black stone flies. I caught the fish on that. Later I noticed the BWO's drifting.
Anyhow here's the fish. My first dry fly fish of 2008!
