FYI....I am also accepting vicodin donations. Also, beer, whiskey, and wine will work, as well. May help me cope with losing my job. lol

Heres what weather.gov is saying...

Saturday: Snow likely, mainly after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 28. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

I can handle 28, but lower 20's is out of the question.

Drake,

Looks like im gonna be the only taker.  Im in but I cant fish all day, I would like to be back around 3 and no later than 4.  Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to start a little later in the morning as well, 10 rather than 9 might be a little warmer.  We can still get a good 4-5 hours in depending on where we fish.  Let me know what you think, and then we can come up with a where and when.

I'd rather fish the LJR too, but I think it will be a little high. Spring creek should be in great shape.

I am thinking about fishing below fishermans paradise somewhere. Do you know where the parking lot is that has a playground next to it? Its about a mile or a little more below the paradise.

I think so, ill be coming from state college.  So from benner pike, I make that left towards the paradise and then at the T right before the creek make a right, instead of a left which takes you up to the paradise?

I havent fished down there in a few years so I think I may need a quick refresher..lol

You got it right. Instead of making a left toward the paradise, turn right and travel about a mile. You'll go across a bridge, and stay along the stream. You'll see a playground on the right, and there will be a parking area just down over the hill near it. I'll be driving a green/gold outback wagon.

I completely forgot I have a deer to cut up.  I let it hang all week.   I COULD do it Sunday but want to get it done before the supposive snow storm coming.  My prediction:  Dan's first fish will be a sucker!!  Pucker up drake! ~ lol

Sucker Creek was a bit on the low side today.  Oops I meant to say Spring Creek.  I must say I was surprised to see it low, figured it would have been flowing better with all the recent precip.

As far as the fishing....managed to get about a dozen hoovers and lost just as many.  Every now and then I would "mistakingly" hook a brownie.  The army of big-lipped golden trout was out in full force today!!

Drake did alot better than I did on catching trout.  He couldn't compete with me on the hoovers though.  But ill let him have his moment, we both know we werent targeting trout....

I've never seen so many suckers caught in one day. Oh well, they're fun too. Suckers are kinda like fat chicks...if your friends see you with one, you'll never hear the end of it. At least there arent any pictures. lol

we fished the delayed harvest part of black moshannon saturday. mostly with wooly's and sucker spawn. nice sized browns and native brookies.  for something different you might want to give it a try. watch the roads they are solid ice. we'll probably be back this weekend. also hit black bear on the way home tons of 3-6" natives, they're a blast to catch as opposed to the 15" brown i pulled in that was like a damp towel.
