Here's a good story, related to the Under Armor base layer.

Last winter I was fishing Elk creek and slipped\broke ice while wading at about 8AM.  I went half way in the water on my side.  The water didn't get into my chest waders, but my fleece coat got entirely soaked up to my shoulder.  After a few minutes the fleece coat was frozen.  The water was whisked away from my body by the Under Armour.  I was able to fish all day this way, and my arm was not one bit cold.  I was and still am amazed.

And no....I don't work for Under Armour...

under armor isn't bad, but I prefer Patagonia under garments.
