yeah it's supposed to be scattered  rain all week, so even if the rain dont hit us here, it will probably effect the Beaver River as at least one of the many bodies of water upstream will see rain. Berlin, MJ Kirwan, Milton, Mosquito, Meander(no fishing) Lakes in Ohio and Pymatuming, Arthur, and Shenango River Lakes in PA all effect the flow of the Beaver River by way of the Shenango River, Connequenessing Creek, Slippery Rock, Muddy, Mahoning River, and many other tiny creeks.

Shenango's(Beaver's secondary source) flow is regulated by Pymatuming as far as lakes go via Pymatuming Creek, Neshannock, etc.

Mahoning(Beaver's source) is effected by all those same lakes I mentioned in Ohio.

With the Beaver and ultimately Ohio River, it seems "****" really does roll downhill.

HEY Frisbie Flingers, did yinz know there is a tournament taking place at Shenango this coming weekend?

Should be exciting cause the announcement sez there's gonna be a "shotgun start". Heck even I could whack one of them big disc with a shotgun.

Just wondering if everyone has to take a turn tossing those plastic plates in the air while the other guy shoots. Ummm, maybe not a good idea for me to signup.

Anyways sounds like a good time so if your into disc tossing competitions, check it out.

In other news, I dint check lake conditions this morning cause I already saw the; could be; might be; probably will but; may not, weather report.

So without further Adid, read and weep.

BTDT can I launch my boat from your driveway yet?  I can only imagine how high that place is with all this rain.  Like "duck under the tressel" high.

Looks like the big rain coming now will stay south.  I'm going camping with the family at Shenango next weekend.  Hope I can use the boat.

Shenango, according to the park info released this morning is .85 ft over normal summer pool. That ain't bad a-tall.

For up-to-date (recorded) lake, and other information, call 1-724-962-4384

Sam you could probably launch your boat in my back yard and ride the stream to the lake. Its one them kind that's more like a narrow gorge than a shallow meandering brook.

She do run wild when the surf is up.

Do bring a chain saw, may need to cut downed trees laying across your path.

How highs the water Papa? She says 896.12 feet and risin'.

Well sluices four five six open 1 foot each,
BTDT won't be launching this week don't like wading up over his knees, 896.12 feet high and risin'.

Clark is closed
We gotta head for higher ground
We can't launch there till the water comes down,
896.12 feet high and risin'.

Okay... okay, not my fault. Been battling a cold since the wedding and reception. Don't know if its the meds, the fever or a combination of both. Not to worry I'll be okay in a day or two . Most likely contracted the ailment getting kissed and hugged by all the women. Guess that's what I get for being so dammed cute.

This is one of my favorite fishing holes.  I kept up with this thread, and the rain was apparent, but we headed out anyway.

Caught 6- 4 largemouth and 2 crappie.  Fish were jumping everywhere and the bait balls lit up the fish finder all day.  Nothing to write home about though.

Hope to report and hear better things in the future.

Kurve the lake has been up and down like a yo-yo. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised to hear the fish are sea sick from all the up and down motion.

Report published five hours ago has the lake at 1.89 ft above norm. again.

This coming week the weather is looking good so maybe the level will return to normal summer pool and the mud to settle.

Fellas, I took a friend and her son out this morning for some catch and release crappie fishing. She didn't fish. She just ran the clicker. We put 87 crappies in the boat including one six pound catfish. All on Bobby Garland baby shads in numerous colors. Casting and retrieving and under a bobber, four feet deep over brush. We were off the lake before twelve. Not bad for four hours. Only about a dozen of them would be close to keepers tho. Still a great day on the water with good friends.
