Fished Misery Bay today kept sixteen bluegill and crappie. Ice was six inches with water standing on top when we left. There were about fifteen huts this morning before the rain storm, only 6 when we left. Ice should still be good in the morning.

I checked out the bay this morning.  The very head of the bay has some very thin ice.  From there to around the stinkhole has alot of open water.  Further East there looked to be thicker ice, but it was broken up by the surge, with patches of open water mixed in.  There was noone on the Marina with the exception of a couple of guys sitting on the dock and fishing over the side.
 
There were lots of huts on Misery.  The ice there is pretty thick and clear.  Open water out by the monument. 
 
Several huts on Horseshoe.  Didn't check ice.  Plan to get on the ice this afternoon.w_w.

If it has fins and gills, I'm there.

probably, but no saying if its safe, i dont think one day of warm weather will kill 4-6" of ice...maybe 2-3" will hold and the water on top will freeze up once the temps drop again...

Bay is mostly open water.

Anyone checked the Bay? Misery, Horseshoe. From the EYC webcam it looks like there is ice out there.... maybe by the weekend it will be safe?

This snow is not good! Hopefully we don't get too much, it could really slow the ice making down.
Anyone been on P.I. to check the ice? or any place else... Eaton, Boro, Pleasant....???

Actually didn't get that much snow... maybe 3-4" Then freezing rain then back to snow... My car had a layer of ice then 2" of snow then another layer of ice then some more snow....  man I wish I had a garage I hate these kinda mornings!
 
Anyone check the ice yet????

Saw 2 huts at the head of the bay today around 11:00.  Seemed to be alright, also about 20 huts on misery!  Fishon!

I went fishing at misery bay today from 130 pm to 6 pm.  I got one crappie and a few bluegills, my friend got a few blue gills.  One guy had 5 or so crappie and fished from 7 am to about 6pm.  not much happening today up there.  3 inches of ice maybe 4.  i saw the two guys at the head of the bay when i drove by at 1 pm.  i walked a bit out there and drilled one hole.  YIKES.

One brave hut off of chestnut around 1:00 today..... ice looks chunky on the city side of the bay. Also checked around EYC same  chucky ice and a few pressure ridges forming. Then I drove out to the 2nd parking lot, better looking ice but didn't see anyone out there. Edges looked good around the 2nd parking lot.
