Nothing new just pulling up some oldies......................I've got thousands of photos. Haven't fished Niagara for a couple years but I've got lots of past memories. Everybody that likes fishing should try it at least once it's the Major League of shore river fishing ! It's also great in a boat !

Cap'n Hook, what is that pike-like fish with the spots? Is that a spotted pickerel?

That is a small Musky those Great Lake Muskies are a spotted variety. He's a pup but they are cool looking with those spots. Troutguy you got some really nice photos and a real variety of pics and fish. So far this photo thread has been super with all the photos coming across from all viewers. Once again I'm not trying to brag up my photos I just made a habit all through the years of taking many photos while we fished. As you can see I've done years of local and Great Lakes fishing and glad I have all these photos to share and remember many good times and memories with my family and many friends. Now that I'm older I've slowed down on the out of town trips but I still love fishing especially wading lakes and rivers. Keep all those photos coming they are really cool to see !      Thanks & Enjoy

Just got our Muskies back from Higgin's Brothers Taxidermy in Linesville and Chip did a excellent job once again ! These were taken out on Pymatuning while wade fishing and casting lures from shore. My son Mario's was 40 lbs. caught this year and mine was 38 lbs. caught in 2011. We have landed 11 Muskies over 3 years fishing from shores all were caught in a two year window with none caught in 2012. My son uses 6 lb. line on all his catches I prefer at least 10 lb. He's taken a good lead on me with 8 Muskies landed all over 40" except one. Many were caught after dark so never rule out fishing at night. Muskies feed heavily after sunset ................sometimes !  The fish of 10,000 casts................

I'm extremely late in replying....have no clue how I missed your post lol.

Anyways, no, it's just a stocked brown.  More and more browns stocked by the PFBC are looking like that every year. Something with the genetics and years of messing with them in the hatcheries....
