I'm going to look upstream of 2bob's bridge this afternoon, and if I don't see action in that last hour that I am out of the thrall, it is down to the little Finger Lakes tomorrow, if the tip ups are not rusted shut from lack of use for the last 2-3 years! Had planned on a Prez day SR trip, but the forecast for Sunday-Monday is too unpredictable for the jalopy, and the truck might not get back either! L13

Water got bumped to 900 and is gonna get bumped to 1200 tonight... despite the cold days and nights, the stronger sun is starting to play its role in thawing... even the natural flowing tribs are going up and down with the sun and moon... with some fluke warm weather coming in could we end up with a high water weekend??? I hope so, as any brake these fish can get from aggrevated pressure is whats best for them right now...

Up and down with the temps. Personally I like the thaws and freezes as the pack melts a bit at a time instead of all at once in the spring.

Clint, gotta agree buddy... freeze and thaw winters are great for keeping the fish on the move and keeping pressure down... i hate base flow winters... im hoping things progress just as they are as we've had an above average winter in regards to water flows... if we had a normal 285-375ish flow back a month ago the whole lower end wouldve froze up... i do hope we get atleast 2 weeks worth of high flows in april to help the dropbacks get back without getting slaughtered

Clint S Whew just got in from end of lease cleaning brisbane up the driveway. What a time for a wire to break rendering my plow useless. Finally got it fixed and everything is cleaned up. No clue why it dropped. like said above it says 900 till Monday. With the ground still being pretty warm a little of this snow is melting. I would not be surprised if the actual flow of the river minus run off is around 500 or so. I would think we will see it bump back up . My friend in Redfield said they got well over a foot and farther up on the tug got 20 plus. Here we got between 6 and 10 with much larger drifts. Hello I am heading towards Texas this weekend. What is weather report?

Holy shart. Left Syracuse and not a flake in the air and get home and a foot plus on the ground, but not really snowing. My sister says it came down between 1 and 5 fast and furious.

Yup, definitely more than 17 clint... i believe north and west of parish was getting it for quite some time before closed in on you... we are going to have some serious water this spring for sure... the good thing is the snow pack beneath what just fell the past few days turned in to ice pack from the recent thaw so we should hold on to snow through march i suppose and hopefully april in the heart of tug

Quit your whining Clint! We must have gotten an inch to an inch and a half around here! Now for real. That is all we got. It is ball freezing cold with a stiff wind making it feel colder. Glad you are getting the snow for Dime's snowpack instead of me. I sick of running the blower and am ready forit to be spring.

RJ wish I coul, but I will have to settle for a few perch and northerns at Sandy pond. We just received word on our new tentative contract and it calls for 9 furlough days so I may have a few more fishing days over this year.

Looks like I'm in the snow not winter mix area. Not much but an inch or so of that wet white concrete. Long range, don't mean squat, forcast is daytime temps around or above freezing so hopefully the snoblower can stay in the garage.

Out my window at 7 AM it looks like about 3" but the Precip report on NWS says 0.82" of water, so this is NOT snow to be moving if it can be avoided. Water is ~8 lbs to a gallon as a liquid, and this stuff is pretty close to that now, so a shovel full is plenty heavy. L13

Well home from work and it looks like about 5 inches of this white slop. Gonna hafta run the blower cause its like trying to get traction on not quite congealed bacon grease going up my driveway. Walking to my back door when I looked behind me where I had just walked thru snow my tracks were like mini ponds. Quite delightfull this is..............not!

PA my snowblower turned to me and said "I don't know what the frickin shot is but it ain't snow and I ain't throwing it". That's right my snowblower apparently is an animate being. Just run it up to the top of the shoot and dropped it all over itself til it clogged the whole unit up. Push shoveling it was. At least they are calling for a repeat tonite and all day tommorrow. With luck I'll have a heart episode just big enougfh to put me on the perm gov work comp teet so I can spend my winters on the ice with Tuna.

Same here boys about 3 inches of slop fell last night add to that the base in the drive melting because I run shoes on my plow and it was dicey getting out. Lucky the plow pushed it as pushing with an open station tractor in the rain at 35 degrees is no fun at all. Rained pretty hard today at times, will see what tomorrow brings. Cold weather due back this weekend so I hope the ice holds up. I was going to try Oneida for some waldo's.

2B,I had a chuckle when I read about your "snowblowing" experience, been there, done that.My blower is a 9.9 HP two stage, self propelled,Honda on tracks,it's the real deal!I have a looong drive and most of it is hill. But slop snow does exactly what you described.I have to clean out the chute, run it awhile, clean out the chute,.......on and on.I hate that kind of "snow"! Luckily all we got was rain with this last system.
