Nowthat is a nice Bluegill! Many years ago I used to catch those while fishing with my father in,of all places,New Jersey. There were several lakes in NW NJ that we fished and caught HUGE panfish,10" Gills,14"-17" perch, big LM bass. Fond memories!! PS: 6 more weeks till "FISH ON"

Yea Jack that little gem of a lake is home to some of the biggest gills I know of. The perch however are on the small side in there but some nice eyes and now we found some pike have been introduced as well. Nice to have good friends that look out their window at this scene everyday. I have another "secret" hot spot for the jumbo perch once the water firms enough to walk on . Lol
Hope this weather holds on its current pattern and we transition nicely into fall :) See ya soon buddy

Welll -- rehab on the house is taking 5 or 6 weeks longer than expected , wont likely move in till around mid August. Then gotta finish getting this one ready for sale. Really messing up the fishing picture --but at least all the long range forecasts show some decent weather upcoming -hopefully a quick trip in bout a week. Earlies ??????. Sure gonna enjoy a nice downriver snake infested hike. Would like to say that the Forum has been great this year during the ' slow time'- some interesting stuff and the folks have kept things going in a positive manner. NICE

It is raining steadily here in SE Pa this morning, but it looks clear up there right now. With all the wet weather that reservoir should be full, and the hurricane season is just beginning

Starting to get more like fall and less like summer around here. When the weather gets a little cooler, time to get in some wood for the winter.

It got real cold last night and next week it looks like its gonna be in the low 50s, thats a good start for a possible on time run. Now if I only knew how far out the fish are in the Lake.

If the temps stay as they are for 2 weeks, then there are 2 days of strong winds from the east, the lake will turn over, they will be in 30 feet and you can start looking for salmon out your backdoor for real. Not steady but enough to fish to since you're there already.

I read a report earlier this afternoon that fish were 7/8 of a mile off the Salmon River hugging the bottom. The staging has begun, let the games commence.
