It's going to be in the mid to high 90's all week with little rain in forecast. After I take care of a few things I'll be spending some time in the man cave playing with my flys. O yea very high humidity with those temps, can't remember a summer quite like this for the high humidity.

It hit 100 in my area, 108 down on Long Island. The local trout streams must be like bath water. A prolonged heat wave is definitely going to take its toll on trout. Not good.

We had lightning, a clap of thunder, then a 5 minute downpour in the middle of the night. However it didn't do anything to break the heat.

Temp is saying 96 .3 with a heat index of 108. Sakes alive. Tomorrow is supposed to be 99 with gosh know what the index will hit. If fall is only 8 weeks away , I'm ready. It's been a crazy season so far for sure. Snow and freezing into Memorial Day , rain for weeks on end and now Death Valley .. Enough already !!! I want to fish !!

104 here with the heat index-took the mower off the truck today by driving it -backing down the ramps- YEA RIGHT -blame that decision on the heat- I aint THAT dopy---- Bumps ,bruises, head hurts like it got crushed ( it kinda did) some blood, wifey looking at me funny and said 'well- its starting to happen". Pushed the mower off me after a bit and and two women were standing there about to call an Ambulance- nice that they stopped. NO they didnt have it on video- I asked. Went in and watched golf for a while then went out and mowed. In a kinda dopy way I got VERY lucky. Even the mower wasnt too bad off.

talk about HOT !! last night I was stuck in the cave pushing stuff like this with a D-9 bulldozer.. Funny (not really) thing is , the guy before me had the dozer catch on fire.. Luckily he was able to put it out with an extinguisher and he & machine are fine: Well seems the heat wave has finally broke.. It's not to humid and pretty mild outside outside right now.. Time for sleep.......

Geez HT what is that???? There was some severe stuff last evening, but it missed us here in Parish . Just got some wind that blew over our new canopy I was going to take camping, looks like I have to get a new one. We just got a little rain too. It was a different story 15 miles away, I saw trees down and puddles. T storms hit or miss. I just got may order of Sonars and Jigs from Fish USA. They use them alot on Oneida so I thought I would try them. p.s. They can be jigged through the ice too http://www.fishusa.com/Pr...ddon-Sonar-Blade-Baits

Last night was windy as hell, and a good rain is hitting today. Hopefully they dont release the water so the river rises again and they actually save it for the fall and such.

About water relerase. They ARE a power company. As hot as it is the ACs are running round the clock. If they have it they will release it. I just hope they don't dump it all at once.

Almost done with the first cutting, weather has turned around nice. Forecast for next week in Quebec is high of 75 low of 53, partly cloudy. Sounds like walleye weather to me

First cutting ? Yikes.. Well have a great time in Canada , my your hands be covered in fish slime , your bellies full and good times had. Can't wait for the report back.
I have been sleeping through the days but weather here is just OK. No storms , lower temps but still running the A/C. Hoping to do some fishing for eyes on the Mohawk weds. Feeling kinda pumped about some upcoming opportunities on the big pond. Got something in the irons in early August and firm dates with bro- in - law August 24- 28. Maybe I will catch some of you local cats then.
Be well , time for more sleep before I head into the graveyard. Peace & Tuna

A good old fashioned gully washer last night dumped up to 2 1/2 inches of rain. More t-storms expected throughout the day and tomorrow as well. Believe it or not we needed it with the scorching weather from the past week. Strange weather patterns so far this year running the extremes more often than not. Portents of things to come this fall and winter, I hope not.

Yes it was as last night we had a massive flash flood that crippled the plant around 3:30 am. It wasn't fun and I was/ am drenched to say the least. I started to get worried around 2 am, not for the plant but my son and granddaughters safety. They are tent camping in Copake at taconic park, bish bash falls. Tried to call them all night and still this morning with only straight to voice mail.
Hope you all weathered the storm
