Had over  6 inches here in a few hours. Much damage due to flooding waters on the brook through my yard.

43 unofficial degrees recorded by my "Official Weather Channel" temperature measuring device. To boot, the soon return of the "Ole Man" was reassured by the activation of my motion light, safely illuminating my still dark path, as I walked from the house just past 7:00 AM this very morning.

Rained pretty much all day and hard at times. There will be plenty of water for the people who want to go hunt and pillage off river

Tornado touched down in Crawford County PA around 3:00 PM this afternoon(10/02), taking part of the roof from a nursing home and destroying the roof on another out building.

No serious injuries reported at the time nor have I heard of any additional touch down from the storm.  Link shows the nursing home.

Wellllllp here comes Michael ⚡now a "MONSTROUS CAT 4" hurricane!!🌀

Biggest storm drama queen Janice Dean (Fox) has ever seen!!! 😧

Speaking of Fox, anyone fortunate enough to see the weather dude holding up a dead "eel" washed up on the beach he was reporting from? Turning and spinning as he spoke of the incoming surf then when he stops and looks into the camera, the expression on his face sez "med's gone bad". 😲

Of course Michael is a very dangerous hurricane and those in the know will heed the warnings but how is it, the networks wish to turn such situations into a freak show😱 by having their "weather experts" acting and sqwaking like a flock of chickens, with a fox in the henhouse?

Just report the facts..... PLEASE😭

Prayers and thoughts to those in Michael's path.

Lots of leaves falling last 4 days with rain and wind. My pool is full of them because I decided to play in the woods last weekend instead.
Temps are to my liking now. Only got to 54deg today. 52 tomorrow. Hopefully things dry out so I can move things around but I doubt it.
Can't wait to start the woodstove tomorrow 😀
Got some smoking to do as well.

Got 1/3 of my duties done. Big hassle with yesterday's rain and mostly a wasted day today as I got ZERO help from anyone.
While the weather is nice, today I'm not feeling so towards others.

Tomorrow is all day rain here , and I'm not seeing any light on the house duities. Hope they figure things out when I'm gone until spring.

Greetings an salutations from NW Penn's Woods.

First frost coating the rails on my deck this morning (10/19) with the outside air temp hovering at 27.9 DF.

Unfortunately, not going to affect the grass growing so it looks like a few more times for grass mowing.

Not a heavy frost least not on the rails close to the house but time will tell as the leaves will turn, and to the ground they'll fell. 😏

I gotta go now.

Tight lines to those a fishing and good luck to those gruntin and a huntin.

I woke up Thursday AM to find about 1/2" of the white stuff on the cars, and the crunchy when I walked on the grass.  For once I got something right when I harvested all my remaining hot peppers and basil the night before, about half the plants were showing signs of serious damage.  I don't care if the weatherman says the low was 34°, the crystals don't lie!   Sauce going into jars all day Monday!!

Had summer-like weather yesterday until about 6 PM then the sky opened up with torrential rain, reports are saying between 5-6 inches fell.Street flooding in Allentown brought out the frst responders to rescue those that did n't turn around and almost drowned.Lots of small stream flooding which cancelled my idea of hitting a few local creeks for any left over stockies.Just going to flop in my lazy boy and watch football. My next Salmon/ Steelhead fishing will be in November when I visit my Daughter in Ohio.

Most of the leaves are gone and temps hovering around freezing at night. Very much rain the last few weeks. there will be no water issues this winter. Going on vacation put me a week behind. Need to finish my wood ad get the stove started this weekend. I have Thanksgiving week off so I will hit it then a few days. Still alot of odds and ends to get done this weekend. Calling for snow on the tug

Don't know about the leaves in yinz area but we had virtually no fall colors to speak of. Little to no sun plus the blowhard wind didn't help either. What a disappointment this year.

Getting the last  of the outside, with the exception of some window installations, work done has been hard with the endless Seattle weather.  At least I don't feel guilty for taking off to fish when I did, as it rained 3 straight days.  I've flown into Seattle 3 times and only saw  Mt. Rainier once. The other morning I shut my kitchen light off when it was already off. A strange yellow light had permeated the room.  I'm suffering from SAD. Steelhead  Arrival  Displacement. When you know steel are in the river, but you can't get away to fish. At least the election bombardment is done. I vote for sunshine.  Good luck to those in the woods and on the water.

The ground is covered. Final wood is in the basement and ready to be stacked ad fire started. Went out to shut up the henhouse and found an ermine in one of the boxes. A battle ensued and I prevailed. It was living in the rafters as I seen what I thought was a mouse the other night going into a pile of feathers. Maybe that's why the girls have not been laying

I have considered all of them. The whole summer egg production was down but not bad. I attributed it to introducing the turkeys. About a month ago production went from 6  eggs a day from 10 chickens to maybe one a day if that. They have also been eating the few eggs played.  I chalked it up to molting and processing of the turkeys. Even my best laying leg horns are not producing. Birds are from 1.5 to 2 years old. I have increased protein. Now finding the ermine living in the coop, she could have been the egg thief and stressor. We will see.

The first snow squall of the season rolled through the mid Hudson region a short time ago.  The ten minute squall was nice to see but too early for my liking.  I hope we don't see accumulating snow until well after Thanksgiving.  Lol
