Well I'm here on the Erie tribs and despite what I read there is very little water,it is the lowest I have ever seen up here.Because of that the fishing is very slow,there are fish in the streams but they are not looking for flies that I'm using.Did n't hook up once yesterday despite having lots of fish holding in the low,clear water.

My trip was a "BUST" did n't hook a thing.I'll be on the Erie tribs again over Tday,but this time probably in Ohio.

Rich,at least I'll be with family in Ohio,if the weather gets ugly I may not even try to fish.
While traveling on rt 90 in NY we passed a truck with a trailer and there were 6-8 deer on the trailor with one nice buck among them.That group must really like venison!

Today paid off. My son got a nice 8pt with the xbow.
Tomorrow is opening of gunpowder, bow is over for us.
I'm looking for the first thing that walks by with "meat " . It's gotta have mass to it's body. I seen 14 and my son 9 today

Pafisher, hope you heard  the weather forecast for today, sounds like it's gonna get ugly out your way.  NWS put out a broadcast of "floodwatch" for all of Northern Ohio.  Report said areas could see rainfall amounts measured in inches through out the day and the radar map says it's on it's way.  Gonna run, map says my little piece of Penn's Woods is next.

Monsoons have arrived here in my little piece of the "Pennsylvania Wilds".   Sure would have been a bummer had you been fishing the Buckeye tribs this week pafisher.   The way it's raining outside my humble adobe, it may be a total blowout causing a fishing trip washout, until after Thanksgiving.

Thanks BT. It was a scramble today especially another deer at noon. It's 2hr driving from camp home. Hung meat, washed off my blood and guts, now riding in car with wife to Woodstock and see Lukas Nelson and Promise of the real at Levons barn.

Still putting down the rain in my area of PA. Sure hope this ain't a sign of the lake effect to come. I sold my old faithfull WheelHouse this past spring and never gave it another thought.

My how time fly's..... Where the hell did summer go??

Went to the barn of Levon Helm last night in mild temps and rain. We got home at 1am and it was raining and 50 out when I awoke at 8am.
Drove to Vermont to catch the show tonight,
Nikki Lane is AWESOME btw, and Lukas was good, we shall see how they play tonight.
It's freezing cold and windy up here, in Vermont and quite a bit of snow in areas.

Not sure how weather patterns are going to play out but after 3 more days in the woods starting Friday, I'm ready to put deer behind and ice in front.

The venue here at paramount theatre, Vt was great and the show fantastic. Much better then the barn in Woodstock. Had a heck or a ride this weekend since shooting deer to seeing shows, glad I only have to work 2 days . The 4 days off are going to busy.

I see the eastern lake got a dumping of snow the last few days ? Kinda been outta that region lurking recently.
Hope things are working out for those affected fishing or living the dream.

Locally here near the town of our President Martin Van Buren, no significant weather difference. I been through the snowy hills of hunting but it's just a cold rain and snow mix at home.
Could've went to Brooklyn tonight for the last show of tour . Don't dig big city. Safe travels to those folks I've met that do. Nashville is near.

I did a recording of last night's show that came out great !! Sometime we may all gather round to shake the bones to good music.

Thanksgiving day here will be spent by me processing 2 deer. Because, that's when the help arrives. My last ditch attempt at more will be Fri morning till Sunday. 1 or 2 more doe would be fine to share. After that, my time in the woods seeking game will close.
Hopefully the wait between holidays and ice will come sooner than later.
