ORIGINAL: Bobbi Joe

RONNY FROZE OVER 200 WALEYES FROM PYMATUING SO FAR THIS YEAR WE VACCUUM SEAL THEM WITH THE FOODSAVER AND RONNYS NEFEW KEEPS THEM IN THE FREEZER TILL WE HEAD BACK HOME WE EAT THEM ALL YEAR.
WITH GAS PRICES SO DEAR WE SAVE ALL THE MONEY WE CAN AND HAVING FRESH WALEYE IS A GOOD DINNER AND SAVES MONEY

Assuming only Ronnie was fishing 200 Walleyes would legaly take 34 day to get. So ether you are streatching the truth or someone was a very bad boy.

SO MANY FISH SO LITTLE TIME.
WHY ARE ALL THE PLACES I HAVE YET 2 FISH SO FAR AWAY?

keeping 75 fish can be done legally.

as long as the fish are cleaned by a tackle shop(poor richards or bac) and packaged with the dates clearly marked and or a dated receipt.

V.Slim.....glad you guys got into the fish and had a good experience. Take most of what is thrown at you here with a grain of salt. Some folks may be trying to help you, others may just be raggin' on you because they haven't been able to get out and fish. You paid your dues so reap the rewards. I keep a few every year and pan fry the loins in garlic butter while canning the rest of the fish(3 - 5 fish a season). You will learn from your own experience with the eating of these fish if you like them well enough to keep that many the next time. If you like them that well God bless you.

You still can possess only two limits in transportation.

Get Informed, Get Involved, And Make A Difference.

  • It is unlawful

  • To catch, kill, or possess more than one day’s limit of any fish, except:
    (a) at your residence and
    (b) you may possess two days’ limit while traveling to your residence from an overnight fishing trip of two or more consecutive days.

Thats how the reg. reads. Otherwise, I don't care how many they keep. I DO believe in following the regs. though.

If you had gotten checked by a WCO at PR's just before leaving for home those fish would have cost about 100 bucks a fish, and they would have gone to a soup kitchen. Better check the regs next time you come up.
75 fish?  I bet the guy who told you about this spot won't be helping any
Virginians any time soon if he reads this. I sure won't, and I lived 25 years
    in Va.
