Giving the Clarion a try this weekend. The wife is a bear rite now; she hasn't fished or caught a fish in 3 weeks. Pity the poor fish that is fool enough to bite her bait. Look out channel cats!!!!....WF

Wow, Good job!

a 30" channel cat is a serious fish!

how much did you figure it weighed. 10# or so?
I have heard tales of the clarion for lunker channels.  AND That's getting there.

Any little hints aprox where and how to catch big channels out of the clarion?  Can you get to them from the shore or wading?  I've thought about taking a trip down there for a little while...  I think Piney dam is about 1 hour out.  but the only place I saw below was very shallow.

Catfishing has been unusually slow up in kinzua country.  worst bite in years.
