YOUGH

Ok guys, this new forum style is not my cup of tea.  I just wanted to get the info sharing back up on the Yough where the clubs stock.

WHITSETT, our gun ticket goes off tomorrow night and the sales were a success.  I believe yours truly is the only one with some left and I only have seven.  We plan on running a beer ticket next.  A pallet of beer.  That should go good, lol.

We have the buttons in and are planning on stocking this coming Friday (Good Friday).

So, what's the word with the other clubs?  Anyone catching anything?

    Mossy,

Smithton stocked today and put some real beauties in there. Although the river came down, it is still high. The Youghman caught a couple of nice ones and I caught one. Maybe he will upload the pic I took of him!

Need to get some of the tickets down my way, I can drink some beer but not sure about a whole pallet!

Just because it's a pallet doesnt mean you have to drink it in one sitting!!
Wouldn't that be fun though....a few dozen buddies, some tunes, and maybe some girls to dance.....I better stop.

Here is one of the several big golden trout we put in. This goes about 20 inches.

I'm looking forward to fishing the Yough this year.  Last year the Smallmouth kept me busy all summer.  I'll be fishing the yough the first day just because thats where the kids want to fish that day.  I was thinking of fishing in Smithton but always did better in Whitsett.  I'm glad to hear that fish is being stocked in both places.

Lol, guess I opened Pandora's box.  Isn't the Filly BYOB??  Imagine that party.  They probably never had a situation like that.  One of us rolling up on a forklift with a pallet on it, lol.  Oh yeah, did I mention that it's a pallet of 30 packs?  What does that work out to, 750 beers?

I've recently got some emails from some guys and figure I should just answer on here....prolly save me from answering the same thing several times.

The kid's day has been set for April 29.  The same day the beer ticket goes off.  Weather permitting, of course.

As for the buttons.....I am going to have to get with the guys and see what business(es) we can leave some at so guys can stop and pick one up.  The only other thing I can tell you at this point is we will be stocking Friday.  We will have buttons with us.  If you ask when down there and see a guy fishing, generally he has buttons on him.  They do get pretty well distributed.

    Thanks guys!

The stock truck will be in Whitsett at 10:30 am tomorrow.  I won't be able to be there due to work obligations, but if you are interested and can get down there....please help!  The guys on the truck will have buttons with them.  They are going to be putting in some very big fish!

I never fished the yough for trout.  I usually stay closer to home, but when it starts warming up i'll be out for some smally action.  Plus just bought a boat and probably hit the lakes up for some crappies and walleye.  You or anyone you know have any luck with walleye or sauger in the yough yet?

    Guys,

I just checked the flow for the Yough and it has increased steadily. It appears that it may be tough fishing for Saturday. It might be a good idea to have a back up plan just in case the water is moving to fast. Tight Lines And Good Fishing!!!
