No Never changed the exhaust manifold elbows...When I redid the heads though we did pull off the intake and manifolds and risers, all in great shape.

Never changed the circulating pump on the engine, just always replaced my impeller pickup on the outdrive every 2-3 years and always winterized properly. Never had a problem...

Trim Tabs are made by Boat Leveler I put on a new pump 2 years ago and they operate as they should.

As I have said, Ive fished many days in 2-4s and 3-5s and made it safely back to the dock never felt threatened or worried.  You arent going to be able to go 20mph in that kind of weather, but there is enough weight, engine, and security to get you out and back safely.

Motor and lower unit are always bathed in fully synthetic oils.  I use good filters and change once a season and constantly check fluid levels.

Started the boat last weekend for a guy...Hasnt been run in 3 weeks...pumped the throttle 2 times and turned the key and it started right up...With a 4 or 2 stroke kicker added to the bracket you couldnt ask for a more economical way to fish comfortably...even in the snotty stuff.

So, can you run jigs, spinner rigs, bladebaits, etc. off of jets?

Ironhed

Yup....I usually run spoons or harnesses....This past weekend I was running a renowski rattler off of it since they can't dive that deep by themselves.

Is a "renowski rattler" a spoon or a harness?  Are they available in the local baitshops?

Ironhead/CB..

This is a Renosky Rattler..Stick bait with Holographics with ball bearings inside that (Rattle) when lure is in action. Works well pulled behind dipsies or Jets...Does not dive more that 3ft on it's own...

slick, you ever put half a nightcrawler on those?
works even better.

Those lures are identical to the basic Bombers, just flashier people catching colors.
They do work though.

Finished up the boat on Friday, Rod Holders Mounted, Fresh coat of bottom paint...

Launched the boat Saturday mid morning...drove around Conneaut harbor...Shaft spinning straight...Boat running as it should...Ventured out of the harbor to see how it liked the 2-3's literally mowed them right down...VERY IMPRESSED!  Drop the tabs to the floor get that bow digging rev her up to 3500rpm and your going 25mph right through 3ft waves...

Ran around in tight dropped the kicker...Runs beautifully...EASILY trolls the boat up to 4mph...Turned right into the chop with the kicker no problem making turns or heading back through them with the 9.9 Honda...

Sunday perch fished with just my dad...60 perch in 72ft of water fast and furious...Windlass is the Cat's ****...

Lake was flat Sunday brought her in WIDE OPEN THROTTLE 35mph (on GPS) 4500rpms....On Saturday didnt really get the trim needed but with 4 of us on board we were doing 30mph with ease...Not too bad for a 28ft boat...

PAIN IN THE****TO DOCK...very tight quarters for a single inboard at Conneaut...lol so far Im 2 for 2 not wrecking into anyone...

I have one more little piece of exhaust hose to replace and trying to get my planer boards setup......

I stole this boat...Ill admit it now...We had some issues to fix, but all seems to be in good working order...

Im ready to walleye fish now....

My friend caught a trout, trolling a woolybugger. Can you troll them off boards, behind a jet.

1. Don't want to tournament fish...In august it's basically who get's lucky enough to pull the biggest fish...Usually not a matter of how many, unless the lake is crap...2. Don't have a team.  Got some buddies but they suk at rigging and netting...No offense to them....
