The worst guy I had the missfortion to fish beside was a young imature teen about 18 or so. ( I meen imature in the sence actin like a brat.) He was fishin with his gradfather that drove up from W. Virgina, he was a nice guy. But that kid after he snapped of on his 2 steel he started to screamin at His grand dad about how he should tie better knots for him. The little &*%$@# didn't even tie his own knots! Then his Pap hooks a fish and this kid decides he's gonna land this fish with my net(which I would have a problem if he just asked me. He proceeds to walk over and just pick up my net on the shore. And then tries then to jerk it outts my hands as I'm trying to land his Paps fish. I fished with Dad alot in N.y. and I would ove never acted like that because thats the last time I ever would gone fishin agian.

I guess theres good and bad, just like everything else. I go upto fish but the real bonus is the people you meet thats whats makes it memorible....

Glad neoprene waders hold a fart quite well, nothing like having the guy next to you belly deep in water and you happen to look over and there are bubbles surfacing under himWoulden't be a bad idea if you wanted to clear out a hole so you could fish the hole all to your self

My point exactly Wayniac. I'm sure I'll never convince you but you need to care. That very attitude is what continues to help erode our privileges as sportsmen in many places. Notice the word privilege, not right. Privileges have the distinction of being able to be taken away. Don't like it an more than you do but it remains a fact and deserves consideration.

And don't take a dump in someone's yard.....I was told this actually happened on one of the private properties next to a trib in Erie.....

This problem could have been avoided if the landowner had simply posted a sign saying "Please, No ****ting In My Backyard."

Fart, Shart, bite the bubbles, I'm OK with any of that and can appreciate the good clean (mostly) fun in all of it. Glad the ruling on the forum stands. Really not wishing to be a stick in the mud but the fishes being drug across the asphalt was I believe out of line and a potential smear on us all.

hey all -  do the Commission a favor and make sure your tag is showing at all times, visible and the front is showing...

it's tough to see them sometimes through the binocs and if they are not visible, then you will most likely be called out of the creek and lose your spot.

plus it's best to just save yourself the hassle.

Longtime lurker...  I usually come on here this time of year to get a good laugh.  I fished the erie tribs a few times a few years ago.  Decided never to go back.  It's the lack of etiquette and common sense.  Same reasons you wont find me near a PA stream on or near the first day of trout season.  IMO, most public water in PA will eventually be "run" by retards with no respect for nature, other people or even the fish they're there to catch.  I fish just about every weekend, and fishing is my life.  I just don't need the crap that i've gotten when fishing in Erie.

The etiquette guides are right on the money.  Too bad there seems to be a large percentage of die hard steelheaders that either don't read these types of threads, or are otherwise incapable of changing their attitudes on the stream.

Tight lines fellas.  Hope someone posts some pics of the combat fishing soon.  It's the only thing the erie tribs are good for to me these days.

Mine fell off my hat in Lake Arthur one time. I didn't realize it until I got back in the truck. Luckily, someone found it and was nice enough to mail it back to me.
