I predict that I will be using a gaf instead of a net this year. I also predict others may not approve.

I don't always snag fish, but when I do...
I choose Little Cleos

I'm the best looking smartest snagging poacher alive...

After getting a small limit of perch from shore today on a small jig tipped with nightcrawlers my prediction is I'll get out tommorow evening to a creek maybe cast a line and if I do I'll get a steelie or two. But I'm not saying where I get the steelie

ORIGINAL: Deerslayir

Have been quite a few steelhead caught out in open water the last few weeks. Within the last week there has been a 16#5oz and a 17# steelie caught out deep. I would say overall the average size is 8 lbs with many over into the 10 to 11 lb range already. I personally have caught alot of drop back fish from lake this season and so have many others. Many big fish around it seems. I predict BIG fish this fall, better beef up your terminal for fall run boys

I'll second and third that post Deerslayir!
Here is the 17lb'er that you mentioned above:

34.5"

Caught it this past Thursday.  2 days before the tournament.

I predict the walleye will get here around March and get confused about thier spawing waters on top of the 300,000 steel choking out the watershed global cooling will dictate 1.5 million walleyes will get masacred in the fiasco will ahians flood to the tribs from the Maumee to claim wat is thiers ....... Arg to the death.........Russians vs Ahians 2010 apocolypto 1:34 first quatrain

Village residents from the Rostov region of Russia caught a weird creature two weeks ago after a strong storm in the Sea of Azov. The shark-looking creature was producing strange squeaky sounds. The fishermen originally believed that they had caught an alien and decided to film the monster with the help of a cell phone camera. The footage clearly shows the creatures’ head, body and long tail. The bizarre catch was weighing almost 100 kilograms, the Komsomolskaya Pravda reports.

Russian fishermen catch alien monster

However, ufologists and scientists were greatly disappointed when they found out that the fishermen had eaten the monster. They said that they were not scared of the creature so they decided to use it as food. One of the men said that it was the most delicious dish he had ever eaten.

i will be making a trip up to the erie tribs in about ten days my rod will be packed just incase but the reason for the trip is to get a low water look at the streams find out what has changed with all the rain we got....
i also think if the weather stays cool the run will be early...
that said early run or not my first real trip will be sept. 16th caught my biggest steelie that day last year (13lbs. 8oz. 32 1/2'' ) so that will be the start to my season I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
