I think its great to want to take your wife or girl friend fishing.  Nice to enjoy the outdoors together, fishing, hunting, camping, whatever. Your woman should be your best friend, not just a homemaker or mother of your children.  The more stuff you do together, generally the happier you'll be.
 
I don't fish with my woman because she doesn't really like it, cold weather etc.  Wish she did, lot easier to look at and get along with than my steelhead buddy Glen.

If I take my wife fishing I make sure we go somewhere where there aren't any trees......
