Yeah- I have good times with the orange & white.
Something I made up a while back. Has the colors, movement & is quick & easy to make up.
Never tried red & white, but I'm hopeful.

Where do you buy your saddle hackle, and what size is that?  I have been looking for a better effect for collars on my larger comets...

It's just low grade neck hackle. It comes strung. Fish USA has it in their tackle shop as Chinese strung hackle.

I think I got mine in Pulaski @ Yankee fly shop.
That's where I get the body material & chain also. That is a pattern they make & sell in their shop in various colors.
The ones in my pic. are the colors that have done best for me.
Stop in & check things out when you get up there. They've always been very cool with me.

I made up a few more flies. I should be about ready for the next 5 years, except for some spey flies.
