I may get in trouble if I go then.  I can go tonight, and possibly Wednesday eveing.

My reports and advice are for everyone to enjoy, not just the paying customers.

That very wall was covered tonight.  Bugs in the hair, mouth, sleeves, you name it..

drake -- have you been tying any pink san juan worms for the sulpher hatch?  I got a whole box full.  haha

speakin of .. I saw strappy slap-on tonight.  What a dope.  I'll likely be at the bridge tomorrow night.  Hope to see you there.   You too J .. the birdie told me the grannoms should peak tomorrow??  The birdie certainly knows more than I, so we'll see, a?

You fellers should get your flies tomorrow, if you didn't already.  The one is made out to "Jeremy Hoffman" and the other "The Sucker Guide."

I'll be there around 4:45 but will probably go pick on Alan for a half hour or so .. bug dependant, of course.  The bomb went off about 6:45 tonight.

The bugs came off heavy today, at about 10.  Mostly 14's, a few 12.  Fish took the soft hackle.  Tonight should be a good one.

Yeah, a good number of them were tossing hardware.  But there were a few folks dredging with nymphs as well.

I talked with one guy at Barree that was just quitting.  He asked why I was watching and not fishing and I explained the water flow numbers and he told me that he has been fishing all day and the water hadn't bothered him at all.  He also said that he caught an absolute "pile of fish."  I asked him to define "pile" and he said 8 or 9.  I didn't have th heart to tell him that would be a fair to middlin' hour under normal conditions.  I just congratulated him on a good day.

Its 570 this morning and the degree of decline doesn't look very sharp, so I doubt it gets below 550 by this evening.  Since I had to take the day off to go to the Vet for the pet food recall thing, I might just head up to Bob's Creek at the Monument to fish caddis over pelletheads.  Duncsmom wants a trout for dinner.  The thing is, while I know they no longer stock the Game Land section, I am not sure they still stock the Monument section above the Ball Field.

Maybe by the end of the week the Little J will fish well, depending on tomorrow's rain.  There were still caddis about, but I couldn't tell what kind.

Duncsmom is heading out of state on Friday, so the Pointers and I are baching it.  Anybody up for some fishing Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday?

Fished a nice little south central freestoner yesterday.  Blue Quills and some Hendricksons hatching, lots of risers.

For the first time in 32 years of avid fishing I fully embedded a hook in my finger beyond the barb, all the way to the bend.  On the ride back to Pittsburgh I made a pit stop at Somerset Hospital for the quick yank removal.

I did that satuday, thankfully it was a size 20, out came the hemostats and a squint/yank later the blood was flowing

Pinching down the barb of your hooks is good for you, as well as the fish. It may save you a trip to the hospital next time.

I know.  I pinch down barbs more often than not lately.  Sometimes I forget, or am in a hurry to get back to fishing.  This time I forgot, obviously.  Something tells me that now I'll have a reminder.

This hook was a #16 Mustad nymph hook.  Not a huge barb, but that sucker wasn't moving.

Pinching down the barb also makes it easier to unhook the Hoovers, right?

I will be fishing this weekend, not sure where, or what day.  Water dependant I guess.  I'll be in touch later in the week.
