Needed..Tips on how to keep catfish away.

So yes I am a paylake fisherman at times . I found a lake I really like alot but there is a problem ; there are way to many catfish in the pond. Currently I am throwing rice bait which is working well for the carp but at times the catfish will not stay away from it . So I know a good bit about making pack baits (millet, rice, grits, oats, etc...) but I need to know some sort of spice, flavoring, or anything to put in the bait (OR A SPECIFIC BAIT) that catfish don't like but yet carp do. Its been the same reaction from millet, grits, and oats.
