We do well throwing shinners with a float. And also do well with spinners. Best places to fish for pike are at the cove entrances.

If you've been there in the last 3 weeks is the lake still low?

We always use large shinners with a bobber/float. Just about any type of spinners work and you could try some shallow running crank baits work to. They seem to like lures with alot of orange or green in them.
I haven't made it to high point yet this and I was wondering what the water level was at. I've heard that it's been droped a little.

Slightly larger jerkbaits, reeled in really slow, just enough to bulge the surface.  I've had some ferocious strikes in that lake fishing in that manner, from pike and bass.  The Shiners are a good bet as well, put enough space bewteen the float and the bait to let them get down, but not too much or the shiner will just hide in the weeds.  Spinnerbaits work well there too.
