very nice buck anzomcik! i wouldn't think twice about shooting that! been very slow hunting for my boys and i, but took my 10 year old yesterday evening to a friend's in 2b that i haven't hunted in a couple years, and never hunted more than a time or two a year in the past. he's been begging me to come shoot some does because they destroy his wife's shrubs and plants. bunch of yards that butt up against a big block of timber and some ag fields, so it's a good set up once you get back in the woods a bit. had a real nice buck with at least 3 up on one side (couldn't see brows where he was or the one side) that came in just out of range. then as light was fading and we were about to pack up, had another good buck - could see a wide rack but couldn't count points - just outta range. didn't see any does.

Great looking buck there .... congrats ! My grandson was out a week ago Friday after work and had a good buck come in at 22 yds only had a little light left but took the shot said hit him high but heard him crash. Give him about an hour went to find him .... nope not there said pretty good blood looked for awhile and figured give him the night and went back out at daybreak with his Father in Law looked all day on Saturday but never found him ... He was bummed first deer he ever lost , told him hey it happens .. told him at 69 with over 50 yrs of hunting I myself have had it happen a few times , I gave it up this year , I do miss it but it was time.... good luck to all !! Hopefully I will be able to show one that didn’t get away ...

anzomcik Passed this fella 2 times earlier in the day on Saturday. So tempting me a third time I gave in to the offer. A what I consider a nice PA average 8 point (really a 7 with a broke off brow tine). I was alone, and photo was taken as soon as I walked up to him.
Thats a hard pass right there. Congrats on the fine buck!!

Had a chase going on in the dark with grunting, etc. But too early. I wasn't even fully set up yet. Before that, as I was climbing,a deer cane in below me. Don't think I spooked it setting up. Saw one doe in gray light above me at 715 and then at 8, had a small 7 point tail a doe 12 yards in front of me. Got video of him. 815 2 doe and 2 fawns walked by about 80 yds out. Just squirrels since then. Checked my camera card just now after getting back from hunting and have several legal bucks on it...even a 6 point that I may think about taking if he every presents a shot. He is heavy bodied, nice, tall rack outside his ears. No brow tines. Don't know if they are broke or just not there. Too hard to tell. Also have a so so 10 point on there plus some typical 2.5 yr old 8's and some smaller bucks. Most were walking about last week during shooting hours. Added some vids from my trail cam card pull today and a little video of the 7 point that walked in front of me. https://youtu.be/8tfTxtlJivE https://youtu.be/ZzLQGYLw9rs https://youtu.be/pcg3KYFXzgs https://youtu.be/EOWYGVqRlJ4

Just had a spike in at 435pm keep me company for 20 min. Checked out my mock scrape I just made then just browsed around. Was directly under me for more than 5 min. Couldn't even munch on my apple. Liked having him around. Woods are really quiet with all the wet leaves and he could tip me off to deer coming, but my buddy sauntered off....hopefully something bigger comes soon, gets dark real quick with the thick cloudcover.
Mountain, what township you hunting? Hang in there, it is oh going to get better from here on out. Next week looks awesome weatherwise, maybe spitting snow Monday.
Bummer tonight though, my trailcam is trashed . Water was getting into it. Stupid, cheap wildgame camera....

Somerset, had a strip job go in below the property an seemed to cut off the deers normal path was the only patch of woods in a bunch of corn/soy fields. Was common to see 5-8 deer in a few hours an signs everwhere. This year just nothing no tracks, scrapes, no sign. Dozen sits with 3 all dayers an nothing besides a few turkeys.

Might be time to start scouting for a new spot if that's the case....hopefully you have some other spots to check out.
