I would like to schedule Friday's Presque Isle ice report right now.   Please, anyone who goes out Friday to either fish or scout, please let us know what's up.

Thank you, in advance.

I saw one hut off Chestnut Steet yesterday.  Wind was blowing pretty hard across the bay, decided to go to Bull Dam.  I was out last Saturday afternoon.  It was pretty slow, marking fish but the bite was off.

Wooly- What was the ice like at Bull Dam?  Any fish?

Ice was good about 6 inches of good ice about 4 inches of slush on top.  Got some small perch, was looking for crappies but no luck.  I had one pike break off a pan fish rig.  I put down a heavier rig, caught a 30" pike.

Has anyone been out on the Bay today????

My guess is that with the continued overnight cold temps and today's wicked snow, we should be able to get this one last weekend in on the ice.  But...

...does anyone really know for sure?   I just can't steal away to find out for sure until the morning.  Will I be joyful?  Or, will my weekend be full of honey-do's???  Stay tuned.

Well, maybe next weekend.  With no shelter, I'm not going out there today, and can't tomorrow.  Expecting 40 mph winds by noon.  Uhm, no thanks, even if I did have one.

Went out, drilled a test hole.  Decided to head home without fishing.  Ice looked decent with lots of slush (no suprise there) on top.w_w,

If it has fins and gills, I'm there.

took a ride out to presque isle early this morning, guys, i wouldnt even attempt goin on misery or anywhere else today...snow drifts were covering up the roads, on the lake side of presque isle, some of the drifts on the road were above waist high...and the officers said it was plowed twice already...im guessing one more weekend with these cold temps..

I keep getting the itch to hop in the Jeep and head out.  Then I get outside and see the wind whipping the snow around on top of the shop behind me and realize it's only calm between the houses.  It's still wicked out there.  I'm really hoping this lets up enough to allow some fishing tomorrow morning.

Just for a few hours.

Please, Jebus!

Anybody on the ice today?  Planning on going Wednesday, but I can't decide where to try.  Those jumbos got to be there somewhere.

There were people on Misery bay and quite a few people off of Chestnut including some walking all the way out into the channel.
