WALNUT CREEK CHANGE, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Walnut Creek Fishing Hours Change, Effective Immediately:
From September 2nd until the opening day of trout season in April, all Lake Erie tributary streams are closed to fishing from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. on the following day except for Walnut Creek, north of the Manchester Bridge
and Elk Creek north of Route 5.

The Important change here is that Walnut Creek specifically and effective immediately, is now closed to fishing south of the Manchester Bridge between the hours of 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day through the opening day
of Trout Season.

tippy-toe, bring your flashlight, cell phone, doughnuts and fishing vest and clock, without your rod. set your clock for 5:00am call someone in the car to bring down your rod and another cup of cofee. what's so hard about that?

Here,s a dumb question. Why do they close the tribs at night ? Is it to give the landowners a break from the fishermen ?

Yea, to keep thier dogs from barking, them from worriying who is in thier yard with a flashlight.  I have never fished steel, but with the current access issues it seems reasonable to me.

Of course if I did fish them and had figured out that I could catch them at night without the combat fishing, I would be Pi$$3d.....

How about landowners themselves, what if people have bought property for the access and want to night fish, seems like a lot of questions to answer.

Better too far back, than too far forward.

I agree Goodnuff. I think the manchester hole should be closed.  It would give the staging fish a fighting chance to get upstream to better water.  Think about the tribulation they face using the project waters as a runway, I give props to the fish that make it past the bridge its truly a feat of nature lol.  In september its like dropping the doors on amphibious vehicles in the D-day invasion.

THink about the crowds there would be upstream if manchester hole was closed.  Not a good idea at all.  Plenty, and I do mean plenty, of fish make it past the chutes.

That is a great idea.  The fish run mostly at night this will put them further upstream.  We need to respect his privacy and lastly keep it clean.

You're mistaken.  Many guys might think this though, they are dumbasses who think the only way to catch these fish is a yarnball under a bobber. Sorry for being so blunt, sometimes you just have to tell it like it is though.

So from my personal experience with the guy, which is really only my opinion. You draw the conclusion I'm a dumbass. I guess I was raised wrong. I'll call my mother and immedietly tell her. Thank you.  May God have mercy on my helpless soul.
