11/23/15

Went up after work as it was nice put. Did not stop home and that gave me an extra half hour, but now that is still only about 1.5 . Got a decent  spot in faster water, BUT 5 minutes after I set up some jackhole wades out thigh deep 100foot down from me and is standing in the middle of the seam. I yelled down politely and said ''just to let you know your standing right where they run up'' he replied that if he moved closer to shore he could not cast (he was trying to fling his fly to the other side even missing the middle seam). So I just moved out and worked the middle as that's where he was pushing the fish.   He left 30 minutes later and after about 20 minutes after that I could see the fish starting to push the close seam again. Had two hook ups  right before dark, both kings. There were not alot of fish around and very few hook ups noted. I will try to hit mid river tomorrow after the football game.

The gods do not deduct from man's allotted span the hours spent in fishing.  ~Babylonian Proverb

Fichy, if simple fishing is causing you anxiety, maybe you should quit fishing.

Actually, I needed to meet you at the Altmar and take out my frustrations on your double chins.   By the way fatso, I fish 100+ days a year, and most is on beautiful water I choose to live on. I'm not some suburbanoid wannabee who travels hundreds of miles to fish illegally and act like a pimply adolescent .  I'd never quit fishing, it's a good part of who I am, just like the rest of the guys who actually belong here.

Posted an out of office message on the work computer yesterday, 10/23/2015 until 3/23/2155, and I am Out of there (actually going back early this week to assist in moving out books and papers, but I never have to drive in rush hour again).  Will be somewhere along the river on Wednesday AM, through Friday, and likely walking into the Genesee for at least an hour or so every other day for a while.  Hope to cross paths with yuouze guys, F+U.  At 6'6" 2B usually stands out in a crowd, I'm the scrawny guy with the Sutton Hat.

Same, Lucky. Awesome. PM'ed 2 already. I said Hello  to him across the river, once. I thought it was a talking tree at first and the river had shrunk.

Congrats Lucky.  Don't be surprised if you find retirement down right boring at times.  And yes the punch list seems to grow exponentially with the more time you have.  Enjoy.

A local Environmental Organization had contacted me within 45 minutes of me turning in my ID, to sign me up to help with Genny issues.  And my church has about 9 days a week of work lined up for me!  I don't think I'll get bored for a while, it might be hard to keep the time for fishing.  and there is always the job jar, which is overflowing.

I have been retired for several years now and still enjoying it.The only draw back is that I don't know what day it is most of the time, but who cares......there are no deadlines.
By the way,I have recovered from the stroke but I still need to build up my strength and I'm stuck here in Ohio with no fishing gear so I can't do that until I get home again.

PA they must have a wally world in Ohio.
Pick up a spiderman combo so you have something in your hand and stroll the local waterways, rest as needed.

    Get well for next year.
