Will the bait shop be open?
Probably a dumb question, but I need to know. My friend and I are taking the 1.5 hour trip up to Erie tomorrow morning. We will be trying lower Elk, hopefully theres a couple fish left! I havn't been up in over a year and only a couple times in total and my friend has never been up so were not too familiar with anything. Anyway we will get off exit 4 off rt 90 and go towards Trout run, will that bait shop at the corner of trout run road and rt 5 be open? We'll need to get some proper tackle (smaller hooks/sinkers) and some egg sacks. We'll be arriving there bout 7:30AM tomorrow (Monday March 19th). Not even sure what the shop is called, just wanna make sure we can get what we need! Any info is greatly appreciated!
I'd also love any advice on bait, etc. My plan is to run a size 12 circle or egg hook with egg sacks and single eggs under a small float with a very small splitshot. We both use spinning gear. Thanks for any tips guys!
