I have a tracker pt175 it is a heavy boat but stable. I have fished with 3 adults on it without problems with balance or space. Never owned a Lowe, but cost is always an issue with me. My 175 floats and goes where i need it to go so if cost is a concern of yours buy the tracker. Take the money saved and upgrade some gadgets or new rods....

i have a 2002 lowe 165fm and i realy like it. it's stable, sits nice in the water, ect. run a 40 yamaha and a 9.9 tohatsu 4 stroke and it handles them well. i think the big difference is welded and riveted seams. i'm no expert but when i was looking i was told welded seams crack where riveted don't. so i would read into that a little. i do think alot of the newer boats use more welded seams because it's cheaper to manufacture. i'd read some of the forums. good luck

I have a Lowe with a 90 HP Johnson (goes over 40mph) and handled heavy water on the big pond. You just have to take it easy. I was cautioned about Tracker not standing behind their warranty. If you're buying used, that probably won't be an issue.
