    got 40 as well, mostly 3x and some 6x.  im just starting out flyfishing and used to paying like 8 bucks for 1 leader. thanks alot

    bought 20 of the tippet, i noticed no flouro, do you experienced guys use flouro or doesnt it matter?

    I was going to post this the other day and forgot.......I bought a pile of tippet, each size as well, also had a good deal on floats, I ended up writing a letter to Orvis due to the poor turn around time to replace my waders and Orvis man'ed up an sent me a $50 gift card and a $40 book, thought that was nice but spent my gift card on this tippet, floats, and a new head lamp........

    May the holes in your net be no larger than the fish in it.

    thanks very much on the tip for the sales... I was able to stock up on some items for under 20 bucks.... should be able to do the trick until the end of next season

    Yea I know sorta like buying a Ford when you know a Chevy will do the job 10 times better but for Trout...  Can't beat it......

    Try Sierra trading post for deals sometime. They always have something that catches your eye, nothing quit like .29 leaders or tippet but sales on tackle and reels and the whole smorgesboard of stuff...

    So um yeah today I recieved my first two packages from orvis.... each one only had a single package of ultra lace in it so im still waiting on about 30 other items..... you would think they would wait until they could ship the whole lot, but I cant complain because of the prices paid

    Bought a bunch of them last year. It will be interesting to see how the hold up being the Green Mountain brand with no use by date on them. It would really be funny if they held up as good as the Orvis supper strong tippet. All though I've some of that stuff that was rather questionable.

    There will be days when fishing is better than ones optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

    go-n-fish, the wall-mart sold that green mountain up here for the past few years. the only thing i found different is the diameter per x factor on the reg. orvis super strong. i haven't had any problems with it. earlier this year wall-mart switched to cortland brand and had all the green mountain stuff at sell out prices. this is when i got mine. i can only figure because of the brand change by wall-mart orvis had a bunch of this left over and want to get rid of it... ~dt
