Jaffa Shrine Sport Show

I was wondering it the Jaffa Shrine Sport Show is worth going to, and what they have there. Any fly fishing guides for Central PA? Or shad guides? I've been to the sport show in Monroeville in the past and missed it this year. I was thinking about taking my son to the Jaffa Shrine show. Thank you.

I used to go all the time. But I think it's a joke if you're actually looking for something useful. They really stuff the place tight. It's like being in a mosh pit. They usually have a trout pond on stage for kids to fish. Usually a guy standing there on stage with a big boa for everyone to freak out about. Historically, many vendors are junk collectors. Perhaps it's changed.

My reports and advice are for everyone to enjoy, not just the paying customers.

If you like blow dart guns, pakistani knives, cheapo samuri swords, and other assorted junk it's a good show.

All kidding aside, there are some good organizations there such as the PA striped bass assoc, TU, United Bowhunters, etc. Also, there is usually a good selection of custom turkey calls by different makers.

I doubt there will be any Central PA guides.

I've seen the local tackle shops display thier stuff that they have a hard time selling in their shops, kind of "flea market" style and some good deals can be found if you dig in the boxes and haggle with them!

On the internet, EVERYONE is entitled to their opinion!

I heard an advertisement for it tonight on the radio.  Sounded like a few seminars and a kids casting contest.

Thank you for the information. My son and I went to the show. It was enjoyable to spend the time together. There were a couple boat charters we talked to. Thank you,
