WCO's and DWCO's are willing to jeopardize their lives all in the name of protecting an animal and resources.

Yes, they do it for a paycheck. It has nothing to do with the love of wildlife.

So do the many men and women in our armed forces. Not to mention all the police officers and special agents. Many firefighter as well risk they lives and the are volunteers and don't receive a pay check. Nobody has forced these guys to do what they do. It's their choice.

"IT'S THEIR CHOICE"- Thats the point here. They could've pursued a career that would lead to waayyy more money, more stable hours, and much less danger, but they chose to become a LE officer, a game officer specifically. The fact that they WEREN'T forced is why its something worth respecting.

I'm thankful to many of them but again we all have choices. If you not willing to take risks then don't do it. No one is shoving it down your throat. Life is full of risks, choose to live it as you please.

The cliquers have descended again.  Some of you need a dose of reality.
Don't make me dig up statistics on health hazards and fatality rates for construction workers, miners, etc and compare them to PA game wardens.  We all chose our professions freely.

Yes, and most folks chose what they are interested in, not what simply gives them a paycheck.

I went to penn state for degree X, so I could graduate and get a paycheck !  No interest in what I went to school for, just needed a paycheck !  LOL  Reality, tell me about it, huh.

We all CHOSE our professions, exactly. So someone who chooses to spend their life serving the public, and TRYING to make the world a better place is more respectable than someone whose only motivations are financial gain.

If we're the "cliquers" does that mean we can make up a nickname for you and some others? Hmmmmmmm.

Sorry, WCO's didn't make the list.  Sanitation workers, taxi drivers, truck drivers, and security guards all are more dangerous jobs than WCO.  Thank goodness some folks have a love for garbage!

PGC personnel have sucessfully enrolled over 20,000 landowners, totalling more than 2 million acres, in the Cooperative Farm-Game Program which opens opportunites for the public to hunt private land and enhances wildife habitat on the participating lands.

Well, since the Beast Media Gallery doesn't list Game Officer as one of the 20 Most dangerous jobs, it must not be dangerous at all.

PGC personnel are responsible for over 600,000 acres being enrolled in the Forest-Game Coooperation Program which provides the same opportunites as the Farm-Game Program.
