simms are not junk , pintown when u say u fish 5-6 solid days a week do u mean a couple hrs after work or are u retired and fish all day , my simms have held up rather well and i fish alot and i don't just think i fish alot i fish alot !!!!!

I got 5 yrs out of a pair of simms. Never got more than 2 years out of any other brand.
I also have a pair of Bean waste highs. Great customer service as they have quickly replaced them 3 times during the past 3 months.
 

This debate goes on and on and resurfaces over and over....Use what works best for YOU. I believe the Simms are NOT junk, however I do not believe they are the absolute best either....well maybe they will last longer than some of the rest, but keep in mind....ALL breathables leak eventually depending on how much they are used and how hard they are worked. My only problem with Simms is that I CANNOT bring myself to justifying the price they ask for their product. Over $600 for their top of the line waders??? Ummmm I don't think so, I don't give a crap how good anyone thinks they are. What can Simms possibly be doing so much differently in the industry to justify that price? A beefed up name IMO just like G. Loomis which is another product I'd NEVER buy again (thats a whole other story...lol)

I'm on the 4th year of my $225 Orvis' and still going strong....alot of other good manufacturers out there as well with reasonable affordability for a middle class gent like myself that feeds a family of 5, two cars and bills out the wazoo....lol

pimptown , thats why u don't like simms - u have not hit the work force yet and can't afford them , thanks for clearing that up , maybe if u start going to class and get a good job u can afford good waders buddy !!!!
