I love anything made by G-Loomis, however, I dropped off the wagon once they sold out to Shimano.
I had a 8'6'' 5 wt Streamdance Metolius that I used forever, sadly, it succumbed to a car door this year. I sent it back and they sent me the new Streamdance GLX, have yet to use it. One nice thing about buying a loomis is that for 50 bucks, no matter what you do to it, they replace the rod.
The only thing I didn't like it about it, and this would never get noticed by anyone who doesn't know what they are looking it, are the bubbles in the stripper guide finish, and on a few of the single foot guides there are evidence of someone touching them before the finish fully cured...again, nothing that would affect the performance of the rod whatsoever, but blemishes that Ill always know are there. Didn't see anything like that on my old loomis at all, but that's outsourcing for ya.
