GOOD PA BUCK DOWN

The old man killed this giant PA buck tonight at around 6:30.We sitted in one hell of a hail storm but well worth it.He hit it a little forward but got awesome pentration with a rage two blade. We rough scored it we think it will be in the high 120 to mid 130's.He weighed in at 192 pounds field dressed at the butcher shop.

We don't smile much bull. The old man said thanks. He said when we found this guy he wished i would of killed it instead of him.I told him he was with me everytime we went to scout this spot and hang trail cams and stands in this area.We been hunt this spot for 3 years now. This is the first buck we got out of there. The first i left an average 14 inch 8 point walk at 18 yards who knows this could of been this guy 2 years later. The second year been last year i hit a good buck up there but never found him.We have loads of trial cams pics of this guy we named him big pete.He broke his brow tine off from mid september till now.He disappeared form the trial cams about a week after he lost his velvet.I still have 3 cameras running at this spot even the spot he was killed at but he never walked in front of the camera that day.I got on the net and got me a tape from what i came up with i got 133 4/8 probably will be his best buck ever i'm assuming.I think he killed the biggest one we had on film but there is still alot of good buck left in this spot to hunt.

Nice job chicken, funny how the father wishes the son would've shot it and the son is glad the father got it

As for the tagging, makes no difference to me how anyone tags their deer and I see no problem with the way you do it other than the hunter would no longer be properly dislaying his license which could get you cited. I got warned once for tying the tag onto the rack of my best buck, the taxidermist argued for me and said if the warden was willing to pay the $50 to fix the hole in the ear then we would change the way it was tagged. As long as the tag is removed from the license and properly filled out and somehow attached to the deer who cares...

    2-blade.  The entry hole was 4 3/4"!
I did not take this buck.  My buddy did.  We were 75yds apart covering a heavily used saddle.  He shot him at 30 yds and the buck ran right behind me.
