Leaves will drop soon enough. I see a few in my front yard now. Then we will be complaining there are to many. It will reek havoc on everyone fishing for a few weeks. You cant leaf it alone its gonna happen.

Better question --- when will commander stop saying "just sayin' ?  

The leaves are falling already, in fact they are up past Route 5 already.

here is some leaf humor from a post last fall...

My friend and I counted 731,952 leaves floating down Elk creek. The breakdown is as follows-
152,112 yellow
222,547 green
357,293 red
In the stretch that we counted,the flow was avearging 200 ft per minute(rather slow) but my buddy is not a fast counter. The pool was 400 feet long so it took about 2 minutes for the leaves to clear the pool. Taking also into account that some leaves were falling, we installed video to be reviewed in order to get an accurate account of the gravitational effect on the total count. It was hard because sometimes just when we would think one was going to hit the water, the wind would blow it onto the bank and we would have to subtract from the total count. Now, when I tell you my buddy is a slow counter...wait till you see him subtract....All in all it was a pretty good study but both of us have blisters on our fingers from counting on them,especially me because I did the green and the yellow...again cause he's a slow counter. Hope this helps... Oh yeah the reason we counted leaves is because there are so many it was very difficult to fish.

I sure hope there are more leaves than last year. I know everybody keeps sayin that there was the same amount as years past, but we just weren't seeing the numbers. Hope that means that this year will be a bumper year. I do think the average size leaf ran much bigger last year.

Just make sure to throw small ones back. Its the future of the leafery.

does anyone know if da leafs are in da bay upere?
my recipe for a deer roast calls for Bay Leaf and the stores down here are out of'em.
