Fall Fishing da Erie Tribs . I stood dar depressed though I did my best da fish just weren’t to bite Da flies all abused of da ones I used it happens, I knew, it might . I turned upstream and all dat seemed others as disgusted as I Den I got a glance and smiled at da chance and decided one more try . For it was a big brown dat turned up my frown as it headed my way Others fussed some even cussed but I would make a play . I swung da 9 ½ footer and knew where I’d put’r as watching da brown glide afar I whipped in de air dat fly of duck hair and pitched it over dare . It sank through da water and by God I gott’r my drag was already set light I whooped and I hollard “yes sir, I gott’r” through the riffles she started ta fight . Da guys upstream were bewildered it seemed I shook the rod as if hook’n a whale Da guys down below laughed as da` came to know ta see what was to entail . Da` cheered me on as I reeled in da brawn one donned if I wanted da net Da guys up above were a push and a shove ta see what it was I get . I reached in da water shook my arm as I gott’r and pulled’r into the air All laughed at da fun for da last 2 hours there was none excitement was spiritedly shared . One took a posed picture one commented to keep’r instead I released’r beneath And that little bit of excitement brought joy and enlightment as I released the biggest brown leaf. . ___doubletaper
