Another Kick-AZZ Day On Erie
Decided to take out an old muskie fisher-friend and his son on the big lake for their first Erie adventure. Bill has always wanted to try Lake Erie walleye fishing from the stories he has heard and had been bugging me about it since I got the Trophy. We finally got the opportunity and it paid off. Although the forecast was calling for thunderstorms, we chanced it and it all turned out perfect. The lake started with 2s in the am, but laid down licely to less than 1s by the time we were done. He said it was nice to have something to show for a hard days fishing when its alll said and done, unlike the muskie fishing.  Tasty fillets!! ALL our fish came off harnesses and meat in 72 to 74 fow.  If anyone has the chance to get out on the big lake for eyes this month, NOWS THE TIME! We got 3 limits by about 11:45....The last 3 trips up, we all limited...fishing is great right now. Where did you launch from? Going up on Sunday but haven't decided to go out of NE or Walnut.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Most of the time, it sure seems like it ends up that way. Lake Erie walleye fishing, for me, is pretty much strictly a "meat run" and the sooner I can fill the box and get back to camp to enjoy some beers and comeradery with friends, the better. I wish I could only rely on spoons and cranks to catch 'em, but it doesn't work out that way for me...this time of year, harnesses with meat get the job done quicker than anything else. Bottom line. While those hard headed Ohio guys are out there still draggin' their Michigan Stingers, we're back at camp sippin' on some ice cold Blues

On meat or cranks and spoons, that's a nice catch anyday! And deelishous!
