Mercury repair near Erie? parts & mechanic
Hey folks, can anyone suggest a decent Outboard mechanic and or a place that we could get parts if need be while we are in the Erie/Conneaut area? Or even any to definitely avoid?? May PM if you don't want to post....
Luckily we are able to do most work ourselves (actually I am just the assistant
but he's pretty dang good with the motors
) but I'd like to have an idea of where we can go if need be. I don't have internet available to me at camp so I'm trying to figure it out ahead of time so I can get a list of phone numbers for the 'just in case' thing.
We can't be the only ones 'in the same boat' so to speak so any replies should also help out others who frequent the area. I figure if we find out ahead of time then hopefully it will be a list of numbers we never need...
If it matters, we run mainly Mercury motors, a new 2 stroke 175hp, also have a 4 stroke Evinrude 9.9 kicker... we may also have need for parts for older mercury motors because we have a few older ones that may make a trip north once in a while depending on where we are fishing...
Thanks in advance... hope this is all just advice I will never need!!
