my try at pike fly

well i don't tie big streamers but rippinlip wants to target pike. anywho, here are some of the patterns i fumbled through last night. all are about 4" long on a #2 hook i think (i found some long streamer hooks in a box)
if any of you guys have caught pike on the fly let me know what you think.
for the rest of you who havn't, just tell me that if you were a pike, which one would you bite into first
flies look different when they are wet so i soaked a few for a better idea what they might look like

black ghost  dry/wet

****er wet/dry

green king wet

pike bunny

torpedo1  dry/wet notice the propeller behind the eye
i think if i weighted the hook shank with lead wire it would bulk the body up nicer.

The first two are sweet. I think the Triple Threat you tie in a bigger version would be killa. Maybe we should get Bings to whip one up ...Going out scouting now.

    4" articulated triple threat.
polar hair isn't 4" in length as i wanted to make the fly so i resorted to this.

12lb mono. hans showed me how he ties articulated flies so i tried it out. not as hard as i thought.
tie the material on the back hook first and then cut the shaft the length i wanted.
loop the mono thru the hook eye and doubled it over the thread base about mid shaft on the front hook and then tied my fly. add some glue on the tie in.
i figure once it's in the water it should flow together a little better.
i'll see if it works sunday
