New ties

Saw those Stone flies getting sipped off the top off the water and thought I would try a pattern for that hatch..
In my Hatches book there was a pattern for a "Sofa Pillow"..
Had most of the stuff with a little substitution and tied up half a dozen..
 

 
 
Some ostrich herl nymphs to play with...

    bings where did ya get the recipe for those flies at. ive been looking for something like that and those are perfect

    Sofa Pillows and Stimulators are fairly similar. I tie one with a gray deer hair wing & tail and a peacock herl body w/ grizzly hackle to imitate the smaller gray-black stones we get around here.

    Stimmies are one of the best dry flies made, IMO.  especially in fast water.
