Sorry that you got lost.  I thought Jack was pretty specific about the event being at the Girard Borough Park and the map and instructions seemed pretty clear, but then again, I have been there before and know the way.  Maybe next year we will have to have one of us have our cell number available in case people get lost.

Not to highjack this thread, back in those days these boards were a great community. The events were a blast, the streamside clean ups, the organized events, the impromptu gatherings whether it was on the big pond or the tribs. We always had fun and made some great friends and great memories.

Yea, the only thing that stays the same is "change. " Think about.

"Grief can be the garden of compassion, if you keep your heart open through everything, your pain can become your greatest ally in your life's search for love and wisdom." Quote by Rumi

I still keep in touch with ppl that I met in 2006-i think there is still that community sense to it, but facebook and many other things have changed it a bit.

The One Fly picnic get togethers were a great way of putting faces to names, and many friendships were cemented. I dont do Facebook but have managed to keep in touch with many from the one fly events and the later Project Healing Waters picnics. I did lose some numbers in a phone vs salt water incident last fall and am trying to refresh my contact numbers still. So if Doubletaper and Bingsbaits are reading this please PM me your phone numbers again, lol.

Hi, I'm new on the forum. I agree with you that social networks have changed the communication on the Internet. But I think there is a lot of positive in the forums from which we can't refuse. For example, the topics in which we communicate, many here come in the interests.
