Nice little boat

Looks like an awesome "little" Erie boat, anybody ever see or hear of these? Only a 16 footer!

    bulldog,
the comp I am on at the moment won't let me go to Ebay (dang firewalls!) but I did find this online....

If that's what the boat is then indeed you are right... sweet looking little boats!
I never heard of them before, we have a Mako 21 and a 16.5 Starcraft but these sure look interesting.
Quite a few model choices on the website.... Karen

Foam filled, fiberglass stringers....look like nice little fishing boats.  They seem pretty pricey though.  Saw a new 22' HT on boat trader for 63k+.  Not sure what options it had on it.

Looks like they plane out at slow speeds (14-15 mph) and don't need that much motor.  The 22 HT with a 140hp looks like it will cruise in the mid 20 mphs and top out at lower to mid 30's WOT.  You can add up to a 300 hp which should zip it along pretty good.  Also shows there is enough room for twins on the back if you want to go that route.  Interesting.  45 degree deadrise at the bow and 14-16 degree deadrise at the transom.  Should handle the waves fine.

Seems funny that it's exactly half as wide as it is long

They do seem nice. My cousin runs a C-Hawk in southern Md (see pic) that we really liked for fishing room but it was too low in the back for our tastes... our Mako sets higher and takes waves from the back and sides better due to the height. Looks like the Arima set higher in the back so should handle rough water well. And goodness knows Lake Erie isn't exactly known for it's smooth sailing!!!

The shorter sides on the C-Hawk's 'cabin' allow for larger fishing deck but guess there are trade offs no matter what...

I imagine the light weight would pound you on top of the waves pretty good

Better too far back, than too far forward.
