We make ourselves negative. You got 3 hours today, and 1.5 tomorrow, maybe the same on Saturday, although if we get the 3/4 inches tonight I think it could be coffee express by Saturday.  Could be a lot worse, you could have to work until dark, and live near the creek, all that ice could make a real mess in some places.  And I don't think it is anywhere's near as bad as things look off Erie right now, if you check some of the pix on that board.  And what goes up must come down , and when it does the chrome will be chrome instead of rust.

TWB Stoneflies were out at Allen 2-3 weeks ago (last warm day), so there are other options opening up as well.

Well took a peak after work.
The Prof was there.
Said he got there a half hour earlier and there was a fish being played.
Went to the shaft for a look.
I was standing right where I like only I was 6 feet high than normal.
Water, 2 feet of air and then 4 feet of snow ice overhang.
While the anchor ice was gone there was still large ice dams on rocks.
In the words of Pete Townsend as to visibility I could see for miles and miles/
W3ith the gauge going straight up there wasn't much flow yet.
I think much of the melt so far has just soaked into the snow again.

Tomorrow I'll bring a fleece and some boots and have another look.

Using the 60 day report, it looks like the gage is ~650 cfs, but some of that could be ice jamming downstream.  But there is a lot of water out there right now.  GR doubled to 1250, and NWS forecasts 6000+ by tomorrow, so I may be walking on water tomorrow as , as has been my luck all winter, both will be blown out.

I'll use a pompom and 4 2's and bean 'um in the AM!  By then I think it could be wet on the concrete.

But this is only Phase I.
