Also, if you are carp fishing and chumming pellets, this pattern works great as well.  Nothing like a rising carp.

----never thought of that loomis, I dig it though.

Loomis doesn't lie... the cork pellet is deadly.

It works man, and the anticipation is unreal...if you get a slow, tubby riser it can be pretty exciting.

One of the west coast shops that sends me a catalog every year has a new fly for 2010, the pellet fly.  Looks like it is made of foam with a orange drop of paint or something on the top for visibility.

Hey, im interested in this swap, what the heck, ain't been tying for very long, but I'll give it a go.  How about some parachute black ants.  If the trout are gone or won't take em, you can always have a blast plucking gills out of the pond.  He-he

Kyler,

If we dont get 10 guys lets just go with what we have and do 2 or 3 flies a guy.  Put 71GTO on the list of guys and I will do a 2nd color of san juan to cover his flies.  Got to keep the old man's box filled, lol.

i use hot melt archery glue. when its heated it turns the perfect color to match the pellets that they feed the trout @ the yellow creek trout club. i can post a pic if anyone really wants to see it. i also make a redworm pattern outa the glue also.

Agree with the 2-3 flies. I can get another color going or try something different. Thinking about incorporating a trout worm into an egg pattern. Big and bold for opening day stockies!
