Furuno

Anyone running a Furuno finder, or know how to get a hold of CarpetBagger? Pretty sure he has one.

Ironhed, which ones are you running, what do you like and dislike about them?

Dan has the GP1850WDF and the GP1934 on his boats.

    Incredible detail on both.
Not a big fan of the smaller screen on the 1850 compared to the 1934.
They are both very user friendly once you get used to them.
They are big bucks, though.  Some good deals can be found on online auction sites.
    The GPS/Plotters are very accurate.

Already have a good chartplotter, so I am looking at the FCV585... just a little worried about sunlight viewing as my top is removable and I only use it about 1/2 the time.

That is a very nice lookin unit.
With the 8" screen, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
I never had sunlight issues but then again, I fish under a hardtop.
Is a visor or shroud available, just in case?
